R. Thorin Oakenshield - he was short, very old, had a long beard, white beard,and he wore a blue hood during most of the story. He lived for protecting his treasure, and would protect it atall costs. The Hobbit I stayed for several hours in the library reading the book, then realized how late it had gotten and booked it out to take home. for creating a book easily readable by children, enjoyable for adults and setting me off on a course of enjoying what I consider to be some of the best literature we have - the 'fantasy genre'. I was surprised to find out my father had read the book because it had struck me as the kind of book he would think was 'fanciful'. The Hobbit Elrond, the Lord of The Elves - he was the leader of the elves, so old andwise, that his knolegde spanned the centuries, yet kind and friendly.
At the beginning ofthe story, he suffered an internal conflict, due to the fact that one partof himself wanted to stay in the Hobbit Hole, while the other wantedadventure, but later, as the story develops, he beggins to discover manytalents that he was not aware of, and he became more confident in himself. At first, hedidn't think Bilbo would be of any help, and to be precise, he thought hewas nothing more than an obstacle in his journey. The Hobbit R. Bard - he was a normal human, but he was a very special one due to the factthat he was a descendant of the leader of Dane, a town that was located atthe foot of Lonely Mountain, that suffered the wrath of Smaug, when hearrived at Lonely Mountain. That and the general belief amongst the British at the time sinister things came from the East - the Land of Mordor in the book. The Hobbit His greatest feat during the story was when he slayed the Goblin King, notbecause he helped the dwarves escape, but because when he slayed him, heunleashed the wrath of the goblins, which in turn caused the other races tojoin forces to rid the land of the menace of the Goblins. Atfirst, they just considered Bilbo the burglar, but, as Bilbo saved themtime after time, they began to respect and admire him, and ironically,abuse his contract with them.
Like an old dragon he was, he was among themost powerful creatures in the world, hungered to hoard wealth, collectingmounds of coins and gathering as many gems, jewels, and items as possible.
